Neuralink Demo This Friday!

What is the possible future of Elon Musk's Neuralink? | by Velimir Žagar | The Innovation | Aug, 2020 | Medium

Elon musk recently announced that the first live demo of his brain chip company Neuralink will show off its tech Friday August 28th. The almost unlimited capabilities of this implant are remarkable. From reversing damage done by a stroke or other brain injuries to learning a new languages with just a software update. Musk has mentioned that he believes languages as we know them could be obsolete in as short as 5 years. Allowing communication with each other without a spoken word using brain implants. I know what you’re thinking! Chad this sounds like you pulled this straight out of the newest science fiction movie! However we are progressing to the future and many of these futuristic technologies are not as far away as we believe. “You would be able to communicate very quickly and with far more precision…I’m not sure what would happen to language. In a situation like this it would kind of be like The Matrix. You wanna speak in a different language? No problem, just download the program” Musk explained. Neuralink has two major components: The actual chip itself, connected to electrodes implanted in the brain by the second component, which implants the electrodes. Amazing advances in modern medicine are happening right before our eyes and its exciting that we will bear witness to these technological leaps. If this sounds too absurd to be true remember this. 20 years ago did you ever think you would be carrying around a powerful computer in your pocket all day every day? Technology will always be an ever inventing industry that will far surpass our comprehension of its methods. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out!
